Richard John Stapleton,Ph.D. is a Certified Transactional Analyst specializing in educational and organizational issues. He received his Ph.D. in management science at Texas Tech University in 1969. He began studying transactional analysis in 1975 at the Southeast Institute at Chapel Hill, North Carolina and has used TA in his teaching since that time. He teaches business policy, entrepreneurship, and small business consulting in the business college at Georgia Southern University where he has been a full professor of management since 1977. He has written three books and several articles and cases, several of which have dealt with transactional analysis issues.
He and his wife Deborah enjoy traveling and attendng transactional analysis conferences, especially conferences such as the last MITAC in Zurich, Switzerland, which was the best yet. They enjoy camping and walking in woods and mountains, dancing, and good parties. They live six miles south of Statesboro, Georgia, which is 53 miles northwest of Savannah in Southeast Georgia.
