Margaret Turpin, MD. Margaret's childhood ambition was to be a (medical) doctor, She achieved this after various set backs, and was a general practitioner for 18 years.
In 1972 Margaret discovered TA through 'Games People Play', In 1976 she changed my career to study, practise and later to train and supervise Transactional Analysis trainees.
She was co-founder of the Institute of Transactional Analysis, the British TA organisation, served on Council of the European Association for Transactional Analysis in its early years. Margaret retired in 1995. In 1999, she was awarded the EATA Gold Medal 'For outstanding services to TA'.
